On January 25, 2021 the Law regarding the acts and forms for the local government bodies was approved.
The new law foresees the types of acts and respective forms that can be undertaken by the local authorities.

All the acts performed by the local governments’ bodies shall be published in the Official Gazette (Diário da República). The effectiveness is not affected by the publication, but the act expires if not published in a 90-day period.

The acts may also cumulatively be published by other means, namely in the official website, Local Government Official Gazette or posted in the official locations.

The normative, administrative and routine acts shall enter into force in the date specified therein. If no date is established the acts shall enter into force in the day of its publication.

This law is one more step towards the implementation of the local governments in Angola.
